 Darin StahlLead AnalystDarin Stahl is a Lead Analyst with the Info-Tech Research Group, and has spent over 20 years managing complex IT environments. Darin has extensive experience leading IT organizations in several industries, including financial services, insurance, and manufacturing.
Darin has managed all aspects of IT, including data center, telecom/networking, desktop, and application development. He provided day-to-day tactical as well as strategic oversight for these various functions. He has deep, practical insight into the real-world issues faced by IT managers charged with similar responsibilities.
Prior to joining Info-Tech, Darin led the IT and IS groups of Stuart Energy Systems Corporation, a global manufacturing firm. He planned and executed corporate integration activities supporting the company’s acquisition of a European firm. This included IT infrastructure, application support/development for all systems, processes, and people. During this time he created a technical architecture to monitor and control hydrogen generation plants worldwide.
Formerly, Darin was IT manager for Royal & SunAlliance, a multi-national insurance company, where he managed all IT functions including strategic planning, mergers and acquisition support, and legacy application conversion. During this time he planned and delivered a major CRM infrastructure project providing real-time transactions to multiple legacy applications. These applications were in different operating environments and in multiple geographical locations.
Darin’s early career began with the Canadian subsidiary of The Traveler’s Group (now Citigroup), a leading U.S. financial institution. During this time he held various operational IT roles of increasing responsibility. He progressed to lead the IT function for this enterprise.
