Ross Armstrong

Senior Research Analyst

Ross Armstrong has been in the information technology field for 10 years. Since joining Info-Tech in 2002, Ross has applied his strong research background to produce notes and reports on disaster recovery planning, legislative and regulatory compliance, and systems management. He also carries expertise in IT issues that impact the healthcare industry.

Ross is deeply involved in the development of Info-Tech’s advisory products, particularly McLean Report, ITA Premium, the Analyst Inquiry Service, and OptimizeIT. He continues to contribute regularly to these services within his areas of expertise.

Ross’s major Info-Tech publications include Sarbanes-Oxley: A Compliance Roadmap, Securing Your IT Environment and Moving: An IT Perspective. Ross also serves on the judging panel for the Codie Awards, which recognizes achievement and vision in software, education technology and digital content.

Ross regularly contributes his insightful commentary and analysis to Processor Magazine and other leading publications such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Journal, CIO Magazine, ADVANCE for Health Information Executives, and Homeland Response. Ross also participates in various speaking engagements at industry events, conferences, and client sites.

Prior to joining Info-Tech, Ross was employed by Autodata Solutions, a software and services provider focused on the automotive industry. In this capacity, Ross honed his analytical skills by monitoring trends and developments in the automotive world and creating Web-based training materials and other collateral.

A native of London, Ontario, Ross received his Masters of Arts in English from The University of Western Ontario. He is currently pursuing his CISA designation.
