Mobile communications plays an important role in daily operations for government agencies, clearly seen from growing numbers of deployed mobile devices and overall high levels of mobile spend. However, because managing and auditing ongoing mobile expenses is a huge administrative challenge, inefficient spending is often conveniently overlooked – mobility rarely experiences the same level of expense scrutiny as other areas. As an alternative to the internal approach, government agencies should explore wireless Telecom Expense Management (TEM) services as a less resource-intensive route towards optimized mobile spend.
