IT security spending has always been tightly constrained, with the systems that protect all of the enterprise's IT assets only receiving the slimmest of budgets. Recent studies have shown that this situation is not expected to change anytime soon, even though threats continue to grow. Spend security dollars with utmost care to ensure that the company receives the most security possible.

Increasing Threats, Decreasing Dollars

Recent research by Info-Tech Research Group shows that corporate security spending ranges between two and five percent of the corporate IT budget. This same study shows that most organizations do not expect this spending level to increase. In comparison, other Info-Tech research shows that IT security threats continue to grow rapidly. Enterprises must now provide more security with no more money.
