Use a Flowchart Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to draw out more complex processes. This type of SOP requires numerous decision points which affect the direction of the task, for which flowcharts are very useful. Flowchart SOPs may have to be referenced in an emergency and so must be easily read and understood; such a SOP could be used to respond to a network intrusion or to initiate a Disaster Recovery Plan.
