Hewlett-Packard (HP) held its Technology Solutions Group (TSG) Worldwide Analyst conference in April 2008. The TSG division is comprised of the Enterprise Storage and Servers (ESS), Business Services and Software business lines. At the conference, HP’s senior executives outlined business intentions for the upcoming year. This is the first of three Market Watch research notes, where Info-Tech Research Group will highlight some of the key messages from the conference.

HP faces challenges in growing its software and services businesses. It has to spread the word about its software business, and face intense competitive pressures in the services market. It will be assessed throughout the year.
