In 2008, the customer relationship management market (CRM) will continue to grow. Even if economic pressures place temporary cost control pressures on IT organizations, CRM is the enterprise application market that is most prepared to address spending jitters with an established and growing sector of on-demand CRM vendors. Info-Tech predicts the two major CRM trends in 2008 will be:

  • On-Demand CRM. Adoption of on-demand CRM (software as a service) by organizations without comprehensive CRM capability will continue to be strong in 2008. Initially driven by the perception of lower cost, companies will begin to perceive on-demand CRM as being less complex and less expensive to customize to their vertical markets than traditional on-premise CRM software suites.
