A strong Move, Add, Change (MAC) request process is essential for lessening the burden on the IT department. MAC requests are used to address any number of tasks, including:

  • Relocation of PCs and/or peripherals.
  • New account setup.
  • Hardware or software upgrades.
  • Equipment swaps or replacements.
  • User account/access changes.

The complexity of the MAC request depends on the scope of the project, the skills available and the business needs; however, these ten tips can be used across the board.
