QlikTech Grows BI Market Share but Not Functionality

One of the fastest growing Business Intelligence (BI) vendors of 2006 was also one of the smallest. QlikTech almost doubled sales to $44-million. Its growth is bringing attention from a broader market. IT managers are starting to ask the questions: what is QlikTech and what do its products do?

QlikTech’s sudden appearance on the world BI stage has been a long time coming. Founded in Lund, Sweden, in 1993, the company started with a single customer. It now has over 5,400 customers in over 80 countries and has a world wide network of partners. The company operates offices in the UK, German, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and has shifted its headquarters from Sweden to the United States.
