Security is no longer just about protecting the enterprise’s infrastructure, but instead about protecting its data. In the fall of 2006, Symantec announced its Security 2.0 strategy, a strategy about protecting data specifically rather than the platforms that host that data. As an aspect of that strategy, the company has released a package called Symantec Information Foundation 2007 (SIF) to address messaging security.
