The Release Configuration Record (RCR) is used by the RM as part of the release management process to keep a record of the configuration items included in a release. Assuming the release has been planned and approved (in terms of what should be included, when it should be implemented, etc.), the RCR associates the change request to configuration items that were modified or added, and, more importantly, to a specific release.

The download includes a template that can be filled in to track a release and a section for creating the release inclusion request form submitted by developers to the RM.
