Many IT professionals wonder if a certain curriculum or course will positively impact their career. In many cases, certification can enhance a person’s salary and career opportunities.

Trends in IT Salaries

IT salaries are rising year over year, and the extent to which a person’s salary rises is influenced by a number of factors. Besides economic conditions, salary raises are highly correlated to skill level, experience and certification. Certification Magazine’s recent Salary Survey found that a certified professional saw an average salary increase of 12% more than the national average.
