 Client Access Licenses (CALs) are a critical component of Microsoft licensing and are required for most devices/users that access Microsoft server products. While certain common CALs were previously offered as part of a “Core” bundle, Microsoft has recently launched a new CAL bundle aimed at more sophisticated enterprise infrastructures. Marketed as an essential component of the “people-ready business,” the Enterprise CAL Suite likely packs more punch than most enterprises can currently handle.
