The server virtualization market is going to become much more competitive in 2007 as challengers to VMware's dominance in x86 virtualization emerge. One such competitor is Palo Alto California-based Virtual Iron. Its Xen-based enterprise virtual server platform has significantly lower price points than VMware's Virtual Infrastructure 3.
