The International Telework Association & Council (ITAC) says 44 million US workers logged in from home in 2004, a 7.5% increase over 2003. As interest in eco-friendly strategies to reduce operational cost grows, enterprises must increasingly look to implementing telework-friendly infrastructure.

Why Interest in Telework Is Rising

Rapid advances in cost-effective, residential broadband services and the integration of rich collaborative tools into standard office productivity software have changed the landscape significantly. Knowledge workers can now be just as productive from home because they are no longer constrained by limited-function tools and networks.
