The popularity of remote working continues to increase due to the infrastructure savings that it can impart. All is not rosy, however, as security and support issues are introduced with the adoption of telecommuting. Deploying Route1's MobiKEY system allows companies to maximize the positives of remote working while minimizing the negatives.

What It Is and How It Works

MobiKEY from Route1 is a device designed to allow for simple and secure access to in-office computers from wherever there is a Windows PC. The system utilizes three components:

  • The MobiKEY device, a USB-based thin client authentication device that is plugged into any remote computer from which a user wishes to gain access.
  • A MobiKEY agent that is installed on the in-office computer(s) to which the remote user wishes to connect.
