NetSuite Plays Catch-Up with Salesforce.com

The rapid growth of NetSuite over the last few years has positioned this vendor as an attractive alternative for small and mid-sized companies looking for an ERP, CRM, or e-commerce solution. IT managers in the process of making a software selection decision in these areas should add this Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) vendor to the vendor shortlist.

NetSuite: A Solid SaaS Performer

With more than 7,500 customers and over 70,000 subscribers, NetSuite is the second largest pure-play SaaS vendor (after Salesforce.com) in the enterprise applications market. NetSuite has several years of solid performance and plans to go public in 2007. Its revenues grew from $4 million in 2002 to $45 million in 2005. Internal sources at NetSuite have indicated that the company has passed the breakeven point and has been achieving positive cash flow since February 2004.
