Research Analyst

The Research Analyst will perform a crucial role in research, analysis, and content creation for all research products offered by Info-Tech Research Group. These products include Info-Tech Advisor, McLean Report, Vendor Comparison products, Best Practice Methodologies, and Research Reports. The Research Analyst’s success will depend on their strong analytical skills, intellectual ability, and exceptional research and writing skills. Significant business or IT knowledge and/or experience, and the ability to meet crucial deadlines under pressure, are critical.

Key responsibilities of the Research Analyst include:

  • Write an ongoing stream of clear, precise, well-organized and insightful research as well as in-depth research reports or other research products.
  • Conduct significant secondary research. Document findings and use information gathered to add depth to research.
  • Establish relationships with key product/marketing/sales leaders in key vendors.
  • Interact with clients to understand their situation, their questions and provide guidance on key issues/decisions. These include product trade-offs, purchases, technology directions, ROI/TCO, and best practices. Establish relationships with CIOs and IT Managers in client companies.
  • Assist with survey design and use survey data to more deeply understand the needs of this market segment. Examine massive amounts of data and distill key insights.

Some of the characteristics of successful hires:

  • Ability to analyze problems in depth to achieve penetrating insights. Determine root causes and subtle relationships among data from various sources.
  • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills.
  • Affinity for accuracy and details.
  • Strong project and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in research, analysis, or technical writing.
  • Exceptional performance in undergraduate academics and graduate studies.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong focus on business, IT, or research and writing required.

Sales Manager - Inside Sales Team

The Manager of Sales is responsible for the leadership, coaching and management, of the people, projects, administration and the results of his/her sales team. The Manager of Sales has a large impact on the morale, level of commitment and performance of their team.
Maintenance of a very high level of employee satisfaction and development is crucial. The role requires someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales management and the ability to deliver results and drive the organization forward while meeting critical deadlines.

The specific responsibilities may be amended from time to time but include:

Employee Management, Coaching, Training

  • Involvement in the recruitment of new employees.
  • Involvement in training of sales employees (orientation, new products/services, ongoing development).
  • Coaching, motivating and developing all team members.
  • Promoting effective selling approaches & methods.
  • Effectively trouble-shoot problems which occur.
  • Setting, tracking and ensuring department’s achievement of overall and specific product sales goals.
  • Coordinating and facilitating team meetings and individual one-on-ones.
  • Employee performance reviews and career planning.
  • Implementing new sales strategies, practices and processes.

Measures

    • Department meets pre-defined goals.
    • High employee satisfaction as reflected in the annual employee engagement survey.
    • Low turnover rate in department relative to industry.
    • Regularly scheduled meetings with employees to support and provide coaching.
    • Ensure that new product & service roll outs are smooth and all staff are properly trained.
    • Completeness and effectiveness of weekly reviews.
    • Continuous improvement to sales processes.
    • Documentation of any training programs/modules delivered.
    • Low number of customer complaints, cancels and employee decommissions.

Sales

  • Manage the progress of the opportunity pipeline on a weekly basis.
  • Coaching their team to achieve sales results in current month.
  • Provide support to sales employees with closing new contracts/business and negotiation of terms.
  • Improve the closing rates of their team.
  • Ensure a high level of co-operation between their team and the CMG Account Managers.
  • Respond to customer concerns/inquiries.
  • Follow up to ensure client requests addressed.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service.

Measures

    • Achievement of your team’s monthly revenue objectives.
    • Develop and Secure monthly opportunity pipeline objectives.

Administration

  • Involvement with Sales Management in setting annual budgets and strategic plans for department.
  • Provide input into new Info-Tech offerings.
  • Liase with other Info-Tech departments on behalf of your team.
  • Active participation in sales management meetings.
  • The completion and forwarding of weekly and monthly sales/statistics/operations reports to Senior Management.
  • Regular updates to Senior Sales Management on progress, changes, etc.
  • Work with Finance Department on report reconciliation.
  • Scheduling, tracking of performance reviews.

Measures

    • Must attend a minimum of 90% of all CMG Sales Management Meetings.
    • All sales reports, reviews and statistics must be received on time and be accurate.
    • All performance reviews for your team are to be booked at beginning of year (or upon hiring) and held throughout year.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional sales experience.
  • Sales Management experience with teams of 5-10 people.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • High level of energy, organizational skills and customer focus.
  • A demonstrated track record in leading a dynamic sales force to achieve plan.
  • Strong leader and team player with excellent management and coaching skills.
  • Creative and analytical strategic thinking process.
  • Post secondary education is preferred.
  • Experience in technology/research sales preferred.

  • Base Salary + Attractive Commission Plan.

Account Manager – Inside Sales

As an Account Manager, you will market the full line of Info-Tech’s products and services to an established international customer base. Assigned current customers, you will book telephone appointments with IT professionals to uncover needs and offer solutions. The focus of responsibility will include renewal and new user sales, as well as identifying and cross selling our entire product suite. The position will be concerned not only with short-term sales volumes, but also with developing customer relationships to ensure Info-Tech will grow and retain the account over the long term. To be successful, you must be comfortable making approximately 50-60 warm calls per day to generate interest, set appointments, offer solutions, close sales and build strong partnerships.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prospect within assigned accounts to surpass established targets for sales, renewals, penetration and referral business.
  • Utilize consultative selling skills to market a full line of innovative products and services via telephone sales activities.
  • Establish and build relationships with key IT decision makers to ensure current and future growth opportunities.
  • Creative thinking, planning and execution of strategic solutions.
  • Manage sales activities to optimize customer contact utilizing strong sales cycle skills.

Marketing Project Manager

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and execute marketing campaigns and programs to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Lead project team to complete projects on time and within scope and budget.
  • Accountable for developing campaigns and ongoing programs using the web, email, and phone sales as the primary communication vehicles. Direct mail channel is used on occasion.
  • Build plans and implement up-sell and client penetration campaigns. This would include Referral Programs, Loyalty Programs and Renewal Programs.

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for their career and a hands-on, practical approach.
  • Experience working in both small and larger marketing departments.
  • Experience working with all key channels including web, email, direct mail and call centers/remote account management.
  • B2B marketing experience ideally within technology vertical and/or within subscription/membership environment.
  • A proven track record of delivery, strategic thinking and an eye for detail is essential.
  • Past experience developing and executing client referral, loyalty and upgrade programs.
  • Experience in web analytics, html, CSS, and graphic development would all be assets.

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in marketing /business.
  • 5 years varied marketing experience, preferably with some time spent targeting the IT industry and/or in a subscription/membership environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing, implementing and analyzing marketing campaigns that result in increased revenue.

Sales Representative

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will market the full line of Info-Tech’s products and services to potential clients. To be successful, you must be comfortable making approximately 150-200 dials per day, cold calling IT professionals around the world to uncover needs and offer solutions. You will be responsible for generating revenue and working in a team environment to hit monthly sales targets.

  • Achieve sales targets for new business, selling with a focus on balanced order performance across all product lines.

Statistical Analyst

The Field Research Analyst’s role is to support primary data collection and research initiatives. Working closely with the Director of Field Research the Analyst develops and manages web-based survey projects; manages relationships with third-party research suppliers; supports custom research activities; and conducts high-level data analysis. Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills are critical to this job that involves coordinating cross-functional projects with IT, Marketing, Operations and Research departments.

Qualifications:
