Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will be accountable for building and growing partnerships to achieve: survey completions, reseller revenue targets, lead generation targets and broader company strategic goals.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Survey Partnerships

  • Maintain and grow existing partner base to market Info-Tech's surveys and ultimately obtain high volume of survey respondents to fuel Info-Tech's research processes.
  • Build online campaigns that meet both partners' needs and Info-Tech's needs. Own full campaign funnel from initial reach (article development, text ads, and banners) to landing pages to survey completion.
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial contracts with new and renewing partners.
  • Meet or exceed survey respondent targets for each campaign on time and within budget.

2. Strategic Partnerships

  • Search out opportunities to partner with other firms that target the same market as Info-Tech.
  • Build business cases to forward attractive opportunities.
  • Negotiate partnerships, build plans, project manage execution of approved plans and personally execute key activities to ensure new partnerships are a success.
  • Build growth and maintenance plans for existing partners.
3. Reseller Partnerships
  • Grow current profitable reseller arrangements, achieving monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Seek out and build new reseller partnerships.
  • Build lead lists from resellers (to foster upgrade to membership by Info-Tech staff).

4. Content-Lead Alliances (secondary responsibility)

  • Work with third-party online service to trade content for lead development.
  • Meet quarterly and annual lead targets.

5. Association Programs (secondary responsibility)

  • Work with current associations to build a solid lead list (Info-Tech staff to convert to members).
  • Seek out and develop new association alliances to build Info-Tech's lead list and develop brand awareness.
  • Work with sales staff when negotiating deals with associations.
  • Meet quarterly and annual lead targets.

6. Staff Management

  • Manage direct report to achieve Partnership goals and Info-Tech goals.

What the Team Looks Like

  • This position currently manages a part-time Partnership Coordinator.
  • As a senior member of the marketing team, this position will assist with marketing initiatives beyond those noted above when requested.

Skills and Experience We Need You to Have

  • Proven expertise in the development of successful online marketing programs (preferably B2B).
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Past experience presenting programs and obtaining buy-in from partners or sales from prospects.
  • Project management experience.
  • Analytical abilities including campaign forecasting and tracking.
  • Past leadership experience and the ability to motivate (both self and team) to meet set targets.
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, with a focus in Marketing.

Inside Sales Representative

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will market the full line of Info-Tech’s products and services to potential clients. To be successful, you must be comfortable making approximately 150-200 dials per day, cold calling IT professionals around the world to uncover needs and offer solutions. You will be responsible for generating revenue and working in a team environment to hit monthly sales targets.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets for new business, selling with a focus on balanced order performance across all product lines.
  • Market a full line of innovative products and services via telephone sales activities.
  • Establish and build relationships with key IT decision makers to ensure current and future growth opportunities.
  • Creative thinking, planning and execution of strategic solutions.
  • Manage sales activities to optimize customer contact utilizing strong sales cycle skills.

Qualifications:

  • Results-oriented, self-driven, passion for success.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding mandated targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Previous business to business sales experience an asset.

Research Analyst (Future Opportunities)

The Research Analyst will perform a crucial role in research, analysis, and content creation for all research products offered by Info-Tech Research Group. These products include Info-Tech Advisor, McLean Report, Vendor Comparison products, Best Practice Methodologies, and Research Reports. The Research Analyst’s success will depend on their strong analytical skills, intellectual ability, and exceptional research and writing skills. Significant business or IT knowledge and/or experience, and the ability to meet crucial deadlines under pressure, are critical.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Write an ongoing stream of clear, precise, well-organized and insightful research as well as in-depth research reports or other research products.
  • Conduct significant secondary research. Document findings and use information gathered to add depth to research.
  • Establish relationships with key product/marketing/sales leaders in key vendors.
  • Interact with clients to understand their situation, their questions and provide guidance on key issues/decisions. These include product trade-offs, purchases, technology directions, ROI/TCO, and best practices. Establish relationships with CIOs and IT Managers in client companies.
  • Assist with survey design and use survey data to more deeply understand the needs of this market segment. Examine massive amounts of data and distill key insights.

Some of the characteristics of successful hires:

  • Ability to analyze problems in depth to achieve penetrating insights. Determine root causes and subtle relationships among data from various sources.
  • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills.
  • Affinity for accuracy and details.
  • Strong project and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in research, analysis, or technical writing.
  • Exceptional performance in undergraduate academics and graduate studies.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong focus on business, IT, or research and writing required.
